split screen:

So why did we do a split screen here, and why is this the only split screen in the music video?
The obvious reason to this is to show why people are scared of the main star in the video, having the top half of the screen being consisted of the demon like eyes piercing through your body juxtoposing with the innocent lower part of the face which shows the fear on the lower part of the screen. Yet, we wanted a device which clearly sees shows the differences in the character while achieving the idea that we are all the same, as the editing looks like one face. We have edited the split screen for both halves to rotate clock wise and anti clock wise to denote the different paths that people take in life, one being the ordinary path, and the other being the unordinary path, a path yet to fufill. We also only wanted the split screen once as it really emphasises the moment in the story line, where the main star gets enough confidence to say hello, yet being pushed away yet again. This moment also splits the music video up in two sections in connection of the zombie, the fist half being where he is tarpped in society, and the other being where he makes a chage and breaks free, furfilling that path and getting what he wants in life.
How did we do it?
What we did firstly is layer two videos on top of another, then sizing the two individual clips so they fit onto the one screen. This was a matter of trial and error for us, as we have'nt had the experience of the software before. On the top three images above, you can see the how we got the images we wanted, and what width, height and angle we wanted them to have.
